General

Sela's SE 088 is a mini cajon made of carton! Not only does it have a surprisingly good sound, it's affordable and lightweight as well as being robust. Believe it or not, it can bear a weight of up to 120 kg, but because it has a height of 37 cm, this model is more suitable for children.

Sela SE 088 Carton Cajon Mini

The carton cajon is easy to put together and thanks to the sound-optimised cardboard, this cajon sounds as good as many entry-level models made of wood. It has powerful bass and even a distinctive snare sound provided by real snare wire.

Construction

The SE 088 Carton cajon mini is easy to transport due the fact that it folds down flat and is lightweight too. This also makes it easy to transport several at once which is ideal for things like group lessons, workshops or even events.

Sela dreamed up yet another fun add-on for percussionists with their Tac Tic. This simple-looking instrument is much more versatile than you might think. The Tac Tic is basically three instruments in one: a shaker, a jingle stick and a pair of castanets. You can even combine those instrument sounds.

Musikmesse 2016: New Cajons by Sela

Sela presented a number of new cajons at the annual Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, as well as a few existing models that have been given a makeover! Now, the popular Varios entry-level model is available with a gold front plate and it even comes in a 37cm-high miniature version, specially designed for the smallest percussionists among us. The most noteworthy of the new additions is without a doubt the CaSela Vintage series.
