Build your very own high-quality cajón with the Sela Snare Cajon Kit! Once you've put it together, it offers an impressive sound that you've built yourself! Don't worry, you don't need any experience to construct this cajón. A clear construction manual is included along with tools and prepared materials. It should take about three hours to completely assemble the instrument. All you need to bring is a drill. Now you know how to build one, learn how to play one with the included 'Cajón Method' guide and downloads with tracks to play along.
The Sound of the Sela SE 001 Snare Cajón Kit
The result is an excellent-sounding cajón made of high-quality materials that measures 47 x 30 x 30 cm. The stable playing surface is thin enough to produce a warm, full tone with powerful bass and rich snare sounds that are easily distinguishable. Unlike most DIY cajóns, the Sela Snare Cajón kit has a fully-fledged, adjustable snare mat that can be muted. It also features Clap Corners for more tonal variation. Binnen 3 uur is hij in elkaar te monteren volgens de handleiding. Ik heb rustig gewerkt en was iets langer bezig omdat ik hem op het einde ook nog mooi in de lak heb gezet.
Resultaat is dat de cajon er nu superstrak uitziet en het geluid ben ik erg tevreden over. Verder zit er ook een kleine beginners tutorial bij zodat je de goede techniek kunt leren. Al met al een top instrument waar ik nu al veel plezier van heb!
Hiernaast is de cajon zeer makkelijk in elkaar te zetten. Met de finish-set van Sela ziet hij er al helemaal mooi uit.
Het is een tof projectje om aan te werken maar is ook zeer eenvoudig om in elkaar te steken. De cajon klinkt erg goed vind ik en je kan de snaresound aanpassen naar jouw wensen. De bijhorende Sela tas is ook echt een aanrader en handig als je hem wel eens live meeneemt.
