Rode Procaster Radio Microphone + PSA1 Broadcast Arm

Using it for both vocal work and voiceover work. Great for both. Proximity effect fine once you get its range and very clean sound.

Having searched for a reliable boom arm, this one has met all expectations. The winning features for me are:

- the wide clamp surface, so it doesn't wobble

- hidden springs (which also mean it's quiet)

- the desk attachment, so it can have a permanent home, but also be easily lifted out anytime



It takes the weight of the Rode NT1-A with suspension cradle and pop-filter, and works perfectly in my home studio. There are two of us using it at home, and we're very different heights, so it is great to finally be able to position a microphone without needing to endlessly adjust a stand angle and height - this is so mich easier, and uses a fraction of the space.

Solid build and heavy. The quality of the sound from this mic is just spot on. It has a built-in pop cover, but if you get too near the mic it is still possible to get a slight pop from it. So, to prevent this I bought a clown nose for it to resolve the potential issue. I use this primarily for VO work and due to my small studio set-up, it has proved ideal and very forgiving for this type of studio and work. I did my research before buying this and I am so glad I bought it. So far I cannot fault this mic with it clean, crisp, and professional sound. And with Bax pricing its a winner all round.

This is a lovely piece of kit and looks great attached to my desk with my Procaster mic and PSM1 shock mount, all Rode equipment. It is well made and solid. The arm comes complete with two fittings, the clamp for general attachment to your desk, or a silver locking cylinder if you have a pre-made hole in your desk for it to fit into. The Procaster is a heavy mic and this arm just holds it into place solidly and confidently. The arm will not drop or budge on its own due to the weight of the mic unless you move it yourself. It also comes with three small velcro straps to hold your mic wire in place along the arm. I am so happy with this product.

Echt een super fijne microfoon-arm! Ik raad hem absoluut aan.
Wat deze standaard zo prettig maakt, is dat je hem gemakkelijk van positie kan veranderen, hij is flexibel en dat is handig met opnemen, omdat je hierdoor vrij bent in hoe je wil staan of zitten.
Hij is makkelijk te installeren, je hebt daar twee opties voor, een klem-schroef die je aan een bureau of tafel kan vastdraaien. Of een klem die je kan vastmaken met schroeven en een boor.
De design is netjes en strak, wat er professioneel uitziet. Super blij mee!
