General

Shure's BRH440M is a professional broadcast headset with a microphone and over-ear headphones. The dynamic microphone has a cardioid pickup pattern and is therefore insensitive to ambient noise. Furthermore, it is freely adjustable so you can wear it on the left or the right side of your face. This headset is a durable, lightweight product that is great for TV, broadcasting and live events, for instance.

Practical headset

Thanks to its ear-enclosing headphones, the headset effectively blocks out peripheral sounds and noise. Special details of the BRH440M include the auto mute, which is automatically switched on when you push the microphone up. The latter is delivered without a connector, so that you can solder on one of your choice yourself (see tips).

Please note: this headset does not come with a cable. You can purchase the BCASCA1 (without connector) or a complete cable such as the BCASCA-XLR3QI, BCASCA-XLR4 or BCASCA-XLR5.

A new addition to both models is the ActiveGard limiter that protects your ears from loud noise peaks. The HMD 300 XQ-2 is another new model that comes with a cable included. Sennheiser's professional over-ear monitoring headphones have been given a facelift too with the HD 300 PRO and HD 300 PROtect taking over from the HD 380 PRO. As its name suggests, the PROtect version also features the ActiveGard limiter.
