De MX392 en MX393 boundary microfoons behoren tot de categorie "slimme microfoons". Dit komt door de vele functies die de microfoons rijk zijn, zoals stille on/off schakelaars die het hele membraan uitschakeld en LED indicatoren. De benodigde voorversterker is ingebouwd in de behuizing, waardoor u direct aan de slag kunt. De MicroFlex boundary microfoons kunnen in allerlei applicaties gebruikt worden, zoals in kerken, conferentiecentra, rechtszalen en in vergaderingen. De microfoon beschikt hiervoor over maar één schakelaar, maar deze kunt u zelf instellen door middel van drie modi: Push to talk, Push to mute en Push-on/Push-off functie. Dit zorgt voor een grotere flexibiliteit, wat iedereen natuurlijk best kan gebruiken!

De microfoons zijn in verschillende vormen en maten te verkrijgen, maar ook met drie verschillende cartridges en dus ook met verschillende opnamepatronen. Zowel de MX392 als de MX393 is leverbaar in cardioide, supercardioide of omni-directionele karakters, zodat u voor elke situatie de juiste oplossing kan vinden. Heeft u behoefte aan weinig feedback, dan kunt u het beste gaan voor de cardioide of zelfs de supercardioide. Wilt u juist liever dat alles te horen is wat om de microfoon gezegd wordt, dan heeft u aan de omni-directionele variant een betere! En ook als u voor de cardioide kiest maar u wilt daarna ook wel eens gebruikmaken van de voordelen van een omni-directioneel opnamepatroon, is er geen probleem: de cartridges zijn onderling uitwisselbaar en zelfs bij te bestellen! Dit maakt de MX392 en MX393 microfoons erg veelzijdig, waardoor ze voor vele applicaties in te zetten zijn!
