The dedicated team at Catalinbread has joined hands with Toast (a company that combines natural materials with high tech gadgets) to make this special Sabbra Cadabra. This limited edition features a unique ash cover with engraved artwork. It is also fitted with grey knobs instead of the standard black ones to complement the overall look of the pedal. Under the housing, this treble booster is unchanged and still delivers the iconic sound of Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. If you want to know what it sounds like, just to listen to Sabbath's 'Past Lives' album. You'll hear a big, raw and responsive sound.

Ash Sabbra Cadabra: ease of use

Black Sabbath was one of the founders of metal. Iommi created his legendary sound by combining a treble booster with a Laney Supergroup amplifier. His method worked best by turning the volume all the way up, a technique that is not so practical for today's musicians. Thanks to Catalinbread's Sabbra Cadabra, it's now possible to get the same heavy distortion from a clean amp at a normal volume. To achieve this, Catalinbread based this pedal on the Rangemaster in combination with the preamp from a Laney Supergroup. Four controls (Range, Gain, Presence and Vol 4) allow you to easily find the sound that suits your guitar, amplifier and style best.

MXR recently collaborated with some well-known artists to design some new pedals. In the case of the DD25 Dookie Drive that was Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. For the BFG07 Siete Santos Octavio Fuzz they enlisted the help of Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Not to be outdone, Dunlop worked with Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains to create the JC95B Cry Baby Wah.
