General

A boom pole such as this one from Marantz's Audio Scope series is a practical thing to have when you want to capture an audio source at a distance. It's commonly used for live applications on TV or radio where the key figures are too far away for close-distance miking. The B9 boom pole stand is 2.7-metres long and has four extendable sections for a variable work flow. For optimal use, the B9 even includes hook and loop fastener strips for fastening your cables to it. Last but not least, the ergonomic foam handle offers a firm, comfortable grip.

For some time now, Marantz has been focusing its attention on the pro audio segment, which has led to the development of a few very interesting products like the MPM-500R ribbon microphone. Some of these boom poles have an integrated XLR cable, which is what the 'C' in their name stands for.
