General
The Bass Whammy from Digitech puts the power of the whammy-effect in the hands of bass players. This pedal offers largely the same options as the electric guitar version, plus several extras. First off, there are three effects that come loaded in: Harmony, Whammy and Detune. Whammy enables you to create fluid transitions between one note and another in a higher or lower octave, while the Harmony option lets you sustain one or more notes and add higher or lower notes to harmonious effect, and the Detune effect can be engaged to create atmospheric chorus effects.
The Digitech Bass Whammy: Pitch Bender for Bassists
Optimised for bass frequencies, this Whammy pedal features accurate pitch detection and two different tracking methods: classic and chord. In Chord mode, the pedal makes use of complex polyphonic note tracking algorithms to deliver ultra-precise, super-smooth pitch shift effects. In Classic mode, the Bass Whammy employs a more traditional tracking method. The Digitech Bass Wammy is true bypass and can be optionally controlled via MIDI. 9V power supply included.
