The Mad Professor Blueberry Bass Overdrive Factory: For Light to Moderate Overdrive

Using the three pots fitted to the Blueberry Bass, it's not hard to shape a wide variety of sounds. The Drive control keeps the sustain and distortion in check, that is to say, ranging between light to moderate overdrive where at lower levels, the overdrive is actually 'touch-responsive'. This means that the more intense your playing, the more distortion you get. Naturally, the stompbox also serves as a solid boost pedal whenever you're playing lead.

Filtering, Volume and Bypass

The Nature control on the Blueberry Bass determines across which frequency spectrum the distortion effect is spread out. Turning this control clock-wise gets the effect to hone in on the upper mid-range for extra presence while you dish out a bass solo, while turning it anti-clockwise puts the focus on the lows for a fat bottom-end. Last but not least, Mad Professor have blessed the BBO with a true bypass circuit, meaning the sound of your bass remains completely untouched whenever the stompbox is not actively used.
