General

The Gallien-Kreuger NEO 212-II has a fat bass sound with a wide range. Its relatively light weight also makes it fairly portable. This bass guitar speaker cabinet is fitted with two 12-inch neodymium woofers and an adjustable tweeter. It delivers the sort of deep and defined sound GK is famous for, despite its compact size and light weight. For more punch in the lows, the NEO 212-II also has a bass reflex port.

Gallien-Krueger NEO 212-II: tweeter Bi-Amp system

The NEO 212-II is equipped with Gallien-Krueger's Bi-Amp tweeter system. If you use a bass amplifier that supports this system, like the GK 700RB-II or the GK 1001RB-II for instance, then you can adjust the tweeter volume directly from the amp. To do so, you need to connect the amplifier and the cabinet using the included 4-pin Speakon cable. The internal passive crossover is then turned off and only the frequencies above 5 kHz are sent out via the tweeter.

Bi-Amp and Full Range

On the back of the NEO 212-II is a panel with both a Speakon and a jack input. The Speakon input can be used in Bi-Amp (4-pin cable) or Full Range (2-pin cable) mode, which is selected via a switch. The jack input is only suitable for Full Range mode. On the rear panel you will also find a large knob for adjusting the tweeter volume (in Full Range mode only) between -2 dB, normal and +2 dB.

Uitstekende speakerkast in lichtgewicht formaat. Makkelijk te vervoeren en toch de power van een 6x10 kast. Geeft veel definitie in het geluid, genoeg punch, goed in de mid-range. Eind vd avond nog een paar nummers in drop-D, toen kwam de kast in het laag helemaal tot leven.
