The Pathfinder 10 Bass is the perfect practice partner for every bass player. It's compact, lightweight and delivers 10 Watts of power over two 5-inch VOX Bulldog speakers. The useful little Pathfinder delivers a warm, fat sound and by using the combined headphone and line output, you can silence the speaker and rehearse in silence or get focused before a show.
Pure VOX Style and Sound
From the distinctive diamond-shaped grille cloth to the classic chicken-head knobs, the Pathfinder 10 Bass is definitely a genuine VOX amp. Along with treble and bass control, you get a Bright knob to boost high frequencies. Twist the Drive potentiometer open and you get warm bass distortion to add even more character to your sound. Whether you're practising at home, jamming or warming up, the VOX Pathfinder 10 guarantees hours of playing pleasure.

Une fois branché (sur une Hagstrom rustique), l'animal montre ses crocs, ou plutôt son pelage. Il n'est pas bien méchant avec ses 10 W mais émet un très beau son clair et net, plutôt bien équilibré basses/aiguës vu la taille. Le potard Drive permet de l'énerver un peu (mais ne pas espérer voir JJ Burnel sortir de la caisse !).
Comme je ne suis pas bassiste, je m'en sers uniquement en home-studio pour ajouter une ligne de basse sur des maquettes. Et là, franchement, il fait parfaitement son job ! Surtout en appartement quand les voisins aspirent au repos. Pour grossir le son, la sortie ligne est bien pratique pour l'envoyer vers un Pré-ampli plus musclé.
Pour s'entrainer, faire un bœuf à bas volume (sans batterie), il est très bien aussi.
Au total, ce Pathfinder a trouvé son chemin et une bonne place dans mon équipement. Et puis, je le répète : IL EST BEAU !!!
