General

If you're in the market for a trusty practice amp, you should definitely check out Behringer's Thunderbird BX108. This little 15W amp offers everything you need for amplifying your rehearsals, and you can even use it for whipping up some demos.

You'll notice straight away that this compact amp is retro-inspired, with sleek black covering and a burgundy top panel. The rear panel is red to match, and you'll find a convenient leather handle on top and four rubber feet on the bottom, making it easy to take with you anywhere and set it down without damaging it.

Of course, when you're looking for a practice amp, sound and functionality are key components. As such, the Thunderbird offers a 3-band EQ with separate dials for input, gain, bass, mid and treble. All of these can be found on the rear panel, where you'll also find the power switch and a green LED power indicator. Other connections include a headphone jack for practising quietly and a stereo tape I/O so you can play along with your favourite tunes on your MP3 player.

We can't forget the last factor in the search for the perfect bass amp: price. You'll find plenty of amps in this price class, but the Thunderbird BX108 will be hard to beat when it comes to design, sound, functionality and portability.

prima versterkertje voor op reis. Meespelen met laptop is een fijne optie. Doet precies wat je ervan verwacht, geen hoogvlieger maar dat kan ook niet met deze maat en prijs.
