Bearing 300 Watts of meaty power, offering a wide and open bass sound, and bundled up inside a reasonably sized cab: the Ashdown Studio 210 combo bass amplifier ticks all the boxes. Less back breaking than many of its comrades, this Ashdown-designed offering provides solid backup for smaller to medium-sized gigs and rehearsals and comes loaded with two 10 inch NEO speakers that don't just guarantee excellent note definition, but wrap up your sound in warmth and fullness. Besides a standard-issue set of bass, middle, and treble controls, the mid-range output of this amp can be given more in-depth fine tuning using the lo-mid and hi-mid pots.

The Ashdown Studio 210: A Tight Combo Crammed with Options

The input has been coupled with an active/passive switch to accommodate the particular setup of your go-to bass, and as soon as you've plugged in and dialled up your preferred colour of sound using the extensive five-band EQ section, a little tube-flavoured edge can be added using the Drive pot. For an even bigger sound, an external 8 Ohm cabinet can be hooked up to the speaker output around the back, which is found fitted next to handy mute switches for the built-in speaker and tweeter, and to finish, this adaptable amp has a headphone output, DI output, an effects loop, and room for plugging in an external footswitch.
