Combining an ultra-lightweight build with powerful sound that's directly inspired by the warm, valve-driven sound of the amps of old, the Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 V2 amplifier head brings all the quality of a 500 Watt, Class-D design. The preamp defines every note with harmonic richness, depth and full resonance, which can be customised at will via the responsive three-band equalizer, complete with tweakable bass, treble and wide-ranging mid controls, while the drive pot can be opened up to add a touch of valve-style character.

The Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 V2: Built for the Modern Bassist

Since this is the upgraded Tone Hammer V2, fresh from the Aguilar Cabinet Suite, it also offers the modern bassists some fresh options. Whether you're in the rehearsal space, playing live or working in the studio, the improved Cabinet Suite software backs you up with specially developed SL/DS cabinet IRs as well as user-IRs that can be shaped and moulded to complete a personalised profile. The two XLR outputs, meanwhile, can be used for your monitor mix and send a pre-EQ signal to the PA at the same time.

The Tone Hammer 500 V2 bass amp head also comes fitted with an AUX input and headphone output supported by a mix control pot, so you can even practise in privacy and jam along to backing tracks. Meanwhile, the intuitive design of this model hands you all of the tools needed to sculpt your sound, down to the finest details. With the help of a unique, patented circuit that's able to add subtle distortion while packing the necessary weight into the mid-range, you're getting a seamless blend of classic warmth and modern flexibility all neatly folded away inside a slimline box.
