General
Ampeg offers the PF-800 as part of the Portaflex Series. As its name suggests, the PF-800 produces 800 Watts of power; perfect for gigs that warrant hefty volume. The PF-800 is small enough to combine it with the PF-series flip-top cabinets (or other cabs, of course).
Features of the PF-800
The PF-800 has plenty of headroom, so not a single note will lack power. Even at high volumes, the sound remains tight and clear. Ampeg advise to combine the PF-800 with the PF-115HE or PF210HE flip-top cabinets, or with the Portaflex PF-410HLF or PF-115LF cabinets.
Technological details of the Portaflex PF-800
The PF-800 is equipped with a MOSFET preamp and a class D amplifier circuit, has a 3-band EQ with bass, mid and treble while the mids are sweepable in 5 positions, allowing you to move the EQ apex. Ultra Hi/Lo boost ensures extra power for the high and low frequencies, and there's also an on-board compressor.
