Take the Aguilar Tone Hammer pedal, wrap it in a 350W Class-D amplifier and the result is the Aguilar TH350. It is a super lightweight 1-channel bass guitar amp that features a versatile 3-band EQ, a drive option for subtle distortion (for added punch), as well as a wide tonal range. The Tone Hammer 350 gives you those high-quality Aguilar bass sounds and is still small enough to fit into the accessory compartment of your gig bag!
Aguilar Tone Hammer 350: Small but Powerful
Despite its modest dimensions, the TH350 is still able to provide 350 watts at 4 ohms (175W @ 8 ohms) thanks to its class-D amplifier. In addition to a gain, master volume and drive, this bass guitar amp is equipped with a flexible EQ section that allows you to both boost and filter bass mids and trebles. There's also a control that lets you adjust the mid frequencies from 180 Hz to 1 kHz.
Drive Function and DI
The Tone Hammer 350’s drive function is equipped with Aguilar’s patented Adaptive Gain Shaping circuit (AGS), which adjusts the gain structure and EQ, allowing you to effortlessly go from modern slap sounds to a warm vintage sound or overdrive. Additionally, the TH350 features a DI-connector for direct recording or live stage performances. It is a balanced XLR output that has a pre/post EQ switch and ground lift.

Bovendien gaat deze wat mij betreft net niet luid genoeg als je met een stevige band meespeelt!
De knoppen zijn duidelijk en het geluid dat er uitkomt is prachtig.
Zeker een aanrader!
Ik heb dit, en de 500 watt versie extensief getest op aguilar 112 cabs, en het klinkt zeker niet slecht. Als je niet echt diepe bassen nodig hebt en eerder in de low mid je ding vindt, ok, daar is het prima voor.
Echter de eindtrap zelf voert ( zoals de meeste klasse D's) een versterk maar, maar doe vooral niets leuks met de klank politiek door.
Daarnaast, bij stevig volume ( daar versta ik +1/3 tot half belast ) kwam de ventilator nog altijd boven het bas geluid uit. zowel bij de 300 als de 500. Ik dacht eerst aan een exemplarisch defect, maar ze hadden het beide... voor mij, echt storend. Sorry.
Preamp zelf is wel leuk, maar, ik prefereer wat meer sparkle in mijn toon. Dit laaste is eigen smaak.
Sorry Aguilar. Jullie kunnen pakken beter dan dit.
Veel power uit een klein kastje! Het opgegeven vermogen van 350 Watt is m.i. aan de conservatieve kant, de gebruikte klasse D module is volgens de fabrikant goed voor 450W @ 1% THD+N, 20Hz 20kHz, 4?.
Aguilar, warm aanbevolen!
De EQ en 'drive' shaping geven je de mogelijkheid om van diep en vet tot helder en strak te gaan. Erg intuïtief in gebruik. Binnen no time heb ik in elke zaal mijn sound ingedraaid.
350 Watt klinkt als weinig, maar vergis je niet! Het gaat om de dB's.
Met een 8 Ohm belasting levert hij voor mij genoeg power om hem niet verder dan de helft open te hoeven draaien bij repetities en kleine zalen/cafe's (met een enkel Aguilar SL112 of Bag End S12-D kabinet). Met een 4 Ohm belasting komen de gain en master niet eens in de buurt van de helft.
Het niets verbloemende recht voor je raap karakter van de Aguilar sound moet je ding zijn natuurlijk, maar voor het budget waar deze amp om vraagt kun je niets beters krijgen.
