Aguilar Filter Twin (Silver 25th Anniversary Limited Edition) Dual Envelope Filter

The Filter Twin from the New York-based brand, Aquilar, uses two identical filters with opposite sweep. One goes up like a wah pedal while the other goes down to create that classic '70s-style funk or simply something completely unique. The two simultaneous filters provided by the Filter Twin give you organic, almost vocal-like quality to shape expressive sounds that you won't be able to get from any other effect pedals.

Controlling the Aquilar Filter Twin

Just four intuitive knobs are fitted on the Filter Twin to help you create a wide range of unique filter effects. Next to the Threshold knob to set the sensitivity, there's the Blend knob which enables you to pan between the filters and determine how much up-filter and how much down-filter input you want. Since both filters come with individual velocity controls to decide the speed of the sweep, there are more than enough possibilities to experiment with.

Reworked and Even Smaller Housing

Somehow, Aguilar have managed to squeeze the dimensions of this pedal by reducing the edges (see video). Since the edges have been shortened, right-angled jacks can be used with ease and no matter the format. The base of the casing has also been flattened so that adding this special piece of gear to a pedalboard is that bit easier.
