The Yamaha JLHB2016UCS Live Custom Hybrid Oak 16 inch by 20 inch bass drum delivers a sweet and punching kick sound that's ideal for fusion but also packs the aggression needed to back up rock or metal playing techniques. The 8.8mm-thick shell has a unique six-ply oak construction with an added layer of phenol in the middle, a combo that brings masses of attack as well as that all-important, enhanced punch. This high-grade hybrid bass drum has also been given a distinct Uzukuri finish, so the complex structure and wood grain is left clearly visible before the Charcoal Sunburst paint job is applied.
