Vegas never seem to stop cooking and every year they serve up something hot and fresh, like edition 18 of Vegas Pro Edit. Since video is the new normal (among other things), and everyone is wandering around with filming and video editing software stuffed in their pockets (yes, your phone), Vegas offer a way to add a more professional polish and refinement to your audiovisual productions, and while this is the slightly trimmed down Edit-edition, it's actually not all that different from the standard Pro-edition as only Sound Forge Pro 14 and Vegas Prepare have been left out. Of course, you're still snipping and arranging takes with this tool - but you're also granted access to so much more.

The Potential of Vegas Pro 18 Edit

For a start, this software supports 8K resolution and therefore pro-grade productions. Coupled with that is a library-sized bank of pro-grade features, including motion-tracking, image stabilising, colour correction, scripting, 2D-effects, 3D-effects, and of course, a healthy stack of other visual effects. The audio treatment is just as elevated since mixing with effects in extremely high resolutions up to 24-bit/192 kHz is possible, as well as time-stretching using the famed Zplane Elastique. In addition, Vegas Pro 18 Edit supports VST and comes with a bunch of great audio effects. This potent package offers enough for full film production, documentary making, music video production, or even wedding videos, holiday videos, or just pieces of audiovisual art - whatever it is, it's fully accommodated.
