Even the smaller and more affordable Elements edition of Steinberg WaveLab 11.1 offers up everything needed to support the mixing and mastering process, and even the podcasting process - whether you're working with a Mac or PC. This software doesn't just work seamlessly with the new apple M1 system, but with both the M1 and Big Sur.

Since it comes fully equipped with creative functions and options, you could say that WaveLab Elements is the package for anyone, while the Pro edition is the package for the experienced audio engineer. Whether you're upgrading a podcasting studio or need something to support the mixing and mastering phase of the music production process, Elements is more than capable - especially since it now includes features that were previously exclusive to the Pro edition. So, while this is the entry-level version, it still provides the serious tools needed to take projects to a seriously professional level.

As of Wavelab 11.1, a USB eLicenser is no longer required since Steinberg now uses a software based registration system.
