General
This compact Behringer Eurorack UB502 is ideal for small studios. Even though it's compact, Behringer has still managed to pack in plenty of technology, including an IMP microphone preamplifier. The same 'invisible' mic preamps are also used by the larger models of this mixer. The preamplifier can use phantom power, which is perfect if you're looking to use your condenser microphone, which needs phantom power to operate. Furthermore, the mono channel features a 2-band EQ, and you'll also find a 2-track input on board, for use with recording devices.
UB502: small yet sophisticated
For such a small device, it sure does offer a ton of possibilities! For starters, you can assign the 2-track input to the main mix or the headphone output, which makes it easy to connect a CD player or a tape deck. Also, when you connect the tape input to a HiFi amplifier, you can listen to extra sources. Furthermore, a 4-part level indicator shows the exact rendering of the intensity of the reproduced signal. A clip LED lights up to let you know when the incoming signal is overloaded, in which case you can turn down the preamplification with the gain control until the LED light goes out.
Compact and powerful
The Behringer Eurorack UB502 is an easy mixer to use for signal processing, signal sharing, and for mixing instrumentals and vocals. Preamplification, level control and timbre correction are all within hands reach! Use the 2-band EQ for increasing or decreasing the treble and bass, and take advantage of the balance control for sending your audio signal more to the left or the right in the stereo mix. Should a channel be used as mono, via the left input, then the balance control serves as a pan control, just like with the other mono channels.
