Pantera's Dimebag Darrell used Randall amps when recording their best albums and Metallica's Kirk Hammett is also a fervent user of Randall amps. Mesa Boogie now introduces, alongside the Mark Five Twenty-Five, the Mark Five Thirty-Five! Mesa has continued their glorious tradition by using four EL-84 power tubes in the amplifier, contrary to the earlier Mark Five Twenty-Five, that had to manage with 'only' two. This amp, preceded by the Nomad, Mini Rectifier Twenty-Five and the Caliber, has been released onto Mesa's mini platform in a combo as well as a head version.

The British amp-builder VOX is releasing a very special series of amplifiers especially for NAMM. We're talking about the Analog Valves, which come in three sizes and are best described as a modelling tube amp combos. What's more, VOX has given three classics a new Tan Bronco Tolex finish, and is now offering the legendary AC15 and AC30 as heads, including a 2x 12-inch speaker cabinet.

At NAMM 2016, German amp manufacturer Hughes & Kettner presents two new Tubemeister lunchbox amps. The smaller version is called the Tubemeister Deluxe 20, and compared to its 18W predecessor, it has a few new features up its sleeve that are particularly handy for recordings, both at home and in the studio. Its bigger sibling, the 40-watt Tubemeister Deluxe 40, is a completely new guitar amp head, and features the same modern upgrades.

Okay, okay, it's not exactly Orange's anniversary. It's actually the ten-year anniversary of one of their products, the Tiny Terror. Just for the occasion, they've developed a very special Limited Edition Half Stack, consisting of a manually-wired chrome 15-watt Shiny Terror tube head and a 2x 10" cabinet with an open fretwork back in Racing Green. Time to celebrate!

By now, the British company has already issued a wide range of great products, but with the new GHR series - two tube heads, a tube combo and matching GS cabinets - they're certainly hitting a new high. The Peavey 6505 series is widely acclaimed, but apparently the amp manufacturer still felt something was missing from the lineup. That's why they've added two new products to the range. One is called the Piranha Micro Head, a 20W hybrid top that can practically fit into your jacket pocket. The other is the Guitar Subwoofer, a cabinet with an 18" speaker and 300 watts of power to beef up the low end. Together, they're a great pair.
