General

The ENGL E646 Victor Smolski Ltd. 100-Watt tube amp head is based on the legendary Powerball. It has four channels, a wide modern range and a dark finish of snakes and chains. The two Lead channels have been tweaked, resulting in a rich, defined, responsive sound. The Clean and Crunch channels produce an unmistakable sweet sound that suits any genre.

Special Features of the ENGL E646 Victor Smolski

The Limited Edition ENGL amp has a few special functions, including ENGL’s Power Tube Monitoring (P.T.M). Corresponding LEDs indicate if any of the four 6L6 power tubes are defective or need to be replaced. There are two Master volumes available (Master A and B), ideal for solos and as a tuner mute. The E646 Victor Smolski is fitted with an FX loop with dry/wet balance controls for series or parallel. With the Middle Boosted function, you can use alternative mid-voicing, which is ideal for leads. Keep the gain under control with the adjustable, built-in noise gate.

Versatile Footswitch Options

You can operate many of the ENGL E646 Victor Smolski ltd. amp head's functions with your feet. On the rear, you'll find various footswitch inputs such as ENGL’s Serial Amp Control (S.A.C.) port for connecting an optional ENGL Z-9 Custom Footswitch for toggling between the four channels with Master A or B. That's four sound variations with two volume levels each! You'll also get access to crucial functions such as Middle Boosted, FX Loop off/on and Noise Gate. Connect an optional 2-button footswitch like the ENGL Z-4 to one of the three stereo jack inputs or an optional MIDI toggle system like the ENGL Z-11!
