General

The legendary ENGL E610 Savage 120 head offers 4 versatile channels with 120 watts of vintage KT88 tube sounds ranging from clean to crunch to hi-gain leads. It has 2 FX loops and various MIDI switchable functions!

ENGL E610 Savage 120 channels

The ENGL Savage 120 has four channels: clean, crunch 1, crunch 2 and lead. Each channel has its own gain and volume control. Clean and crunch 1 share a 3-band EQ and single tone-shaping options such as Sensitivity, Bright, Preshape and Contour. These channels are ideal for warm, sparkling cleans and low-gain to classic rock overdrive. Crunch 2 and Lead are more suitable for heavier rock. They also share a 3-bands EQ as well as a special Hi-Balance control and a unique Rough/Smooth function for two different overdrive sounds, resulting in six sounds in total!

Practical functions

The Savage 120's master section consists of two master volume controls and two different volume levels that you can adjust per channel, which is ideal for a solo boost. It also features two separate presence controls with switchable Depth Boost. Connect an optional ENGL MIDI interface or an ENGL Z-10 footswitch to the MIDI interface port and you can toggle via MIDI between channels, Rough/Smooth, Master A/B and Presence A/B. Finally, the Savage 120 has two FX loops (for clean/crunch1 and crunch2/lead separate or as one master FX loop) and an XLR line output for connecting to a PA installation or recorder.

ENGL E610 Savage 120 Head 120W tube amp head
Wrote the following about ENGL E610 Savage 120 Head 120W tube amp head
