Algemeen:
Voor als u liever uw eigen speakerkast gebruikt is de ENGL Screamer ook verkrijgbaar als losse top, de E335 Screamer Head. Net als de Combo heeft hij een vermogen van 50 Watt, geleverd door twee 5881 eindversterkerbuizen. De ENGL Screamer heeft vier schakelbare kanalen waarmee geluiden kunt creëren van kristalhelder clean tot hi-gain en alles daar tussenin. Dit met dank aan drie 12AX7 buizen in de voorversterker. Kortom, dé ideale keuze voor als u veel verschillende muziekstijlen wilt gaan spelen. Toch is de ENGL E335 Screamer Head ondanks zijn veelzijdigheid verrassend eenvoudig in gebruik.

Gebruiksgemak van de ENGL E335 Screamer Head
Het frontpaneel van de ENGL E335 Screamer Head heeft de simpele layout van een 2-kanaals gitaarversterker. Zo vindt u er zowel een Clean- als Lead-kanaal die een 3-bands EQ en een echte Spring Reverb delen. Echter is er nog een Gain Lo/Hi knop waarmee u de Clean verandert in een Crunch en de Soft Lead naar Heavy Lead. U hebt dus in vier kanalen tot uw beschikking. Voeg extra sprankeling toe aan uw cleans of meer bite aan uw oversturing met de Bright-functie. De ENGL E335 Screamer Head heeft zelfs een ingebouwde Spring Reverb om het geluid ruimtelijker te maken.

Bijzondere functies
Achterop de ENGL E335 Screamer Head vindt u een speciale poort voor een optionele ENGL Z-5 Custom Footswitch. Hiermee kunt u op afstand schakelen tussen de vier kanalen, Reverb aan- of uitzetten en V.L.S. bedienen. Met dit laatste krijgt u naast de Master Volume aan de voorkant een tweede Master Volume erbij. Het niveau hiervan is via een kleine potmeter in te stellen, zodat u kunt kiezen tussen twee volumes per kanaal. Ideaal als volume-boost tijdens solo’s. Dit alles is ook mogelijk met twee optionele ENGL Z-4 footswitches. Verder is er een regelbare FX-loop en een gebalanceerde XLR-lijnuitgang met Level-knop.
