General

Sony's MDR-Z1R are top-quality, high-end, over-ear studio headphones. They're part of the 'Signature Series' and deliver uncompromising sound of sublime quality to your ears. The specially-designed acoustic filter eliminates reverberations so that you're left with nothing but the purest frequencies. The 70 mm HD drivers and magnesium domes ensure a frequency range of 4 Hz to 20 kHz. That means you'll hear every detail in the music you play. The headphones also use a new 4.4 mm cable connector that's been designed to deliver the best sound quality possible.

MDR-Z1R: Comfort and design

Apart from unrivalled sound quality, the MDR-Z1R headphones are extremely comfortable to wear. That's down to their ergonomic design and soft ear pads made of sheepskin leather. Not only does this keep the sound in, but it ensures powerful low frequencies too. The headphones are also foldable which makes it easy to take them with you in the included case. Naturally, they're designed to be robust as well, which is why the headband is made of titanium and leather. In short, the Sony MDR-Z1R sets a new standard when it comes to high-end headphones.
