Technical details of the A7 AirPlay speaker
The A7 is a real technological feat in which the components have to cooperate optimally for optimal sound reproductions. Happily, Bowers & Wilkins have comprised a set of parts that are perfect for the job! Incoming music is converted into analogue via a 24-bit, 96 kHz converter. Subsequently, a DSP processor and class D amp ensure that your music is optimally prepared before the drivers start their job of displaying the sound. A total of 150 watts amplifier power is used to operate the drivers. The combination of a 6-inch sub, two 3-inch mid-range drivers and two special tapering tube aluminium tweeters, ensures a balanced and full sound. Thanks to the 6-inch woofer and integrated Flowport, the lows are also perfectly reproduced, no matter where you put the A7.
Design and finish
The A7 isn't just a style icon, serious music lovers will also definitely enjoy it. Its great-looking housing consists of a glass-reinforced ABS construction, which is rugged and therefore prevents resonances. The top features a brushed aluminium look and the speaker is surrounded by black fabric to hide the components from sight for an even neater look.
