General
The Samson Auro D1500 is a compact lightweight subwoofer with a great deal of power. This makes the subwoofer suited for fixed installations as well as mobile applications. It is provided with a 15-inch woofer that is powered by a class-D amplifier with an RMS power of 500 watts, which ensures that you can feel as well as hear the low frequencies.
The connectors and controls of the Auro D1500
At the rear of the Samson Auro D1500 you will find a fair number of in and outputs. The stereo output of your mixer can be connected in an unbalanced fashion via the RCA input and in a balanced way via the XLR/jack combo input. Satellite speakers can be connected via the high-pass output, of which you can adjust the crossover frequency via a rotary knob. Besides this output, the Auro D15 also carries a parallel full-range output. A 180-degree phase switch and volume knob are featured.
Full-fledged subwoofer with the weight of a satellite speaker
The weight of the Samson Auro D1500 is especially low, thanks in part to the Class-D amplifier. It is highly efficient and therefore does not need to be cooled via heavy cooling elements. Despite its lightweight design, you can safely transport the sub. Its robust MDF housing is finished with a thick coating and the woofer is protected by a heavy metal grille.

De lage, diepe tonen neemt deze sub nu met gemak voor zijn rekening. Wat een sound!
De sub is zeer krachtig en toch verrassend licht waardoor hij gemakkelijk te verplaatsen is.
