This SRM2850 sub by Mackie is a perfect companion for a set of SRM speakers and boasts two 18-inch speakers for a bass reproduction that'll rock you to your core! The SRM2850's total output capacity is an impressive 1600 watts, which means it's suitable for large setups.
Mackie SRM2850: bass tones that pack a punch
A defining characteristic of a good subwoofer is a powerful low range that isn't muddy, but stays punchy. The SRM2850 is designed to do just that. It delivers a bass you can feel without sacrificing the overall sound thanks to the wooden cabinet that was developed by EAW technicians. What's more, this sub is equipped with an internal crossover built in so you won't need to invest in an external speaker management system!
Applications
Judging by the size of this sub, it's suitable for events both outdoors and indoors. Its has a stereo crossover so you can use it in a 2.1 installation. There's a recessed area on top of this sub for an extra subwoofer or set of arrays.

They plan to officially launch this active sub at the 2017 NAMM show next week. It has a cardioid directional pattern at its core which effectively prevents low frequencies from escaping via the rear or sides of the cabinet, resulting in more bass and a higher sound pressure level!
