General

How low can you go? Not as low as the JBL PRX815XLFW active subwoofer! It boasts an output of 1500 watts and has built-in Wi-Fi capability for wireless control. This JBL subwoofer is made to rumble. Thanks to the Differential Drive dual voice coil and the magnetic opening as a result, this sub offers frequency as low as 36 to 98 Hz that will make the largest venues shudder! Finally, the built-in DSP ensures the best audio on the market.

Rugged subwoofer

A subwoofer that is capable of as much power as this one does requires a sturdy construction. The PRX815XLFW was designed to withstand strict durability tests, which it passed with flying colours. It's also incredibly quiet due to the built-in fan, which only activates when absolutely necessary. For the amount of power it delivers, this sub is relatively manageable at 25 kilograms and thanks to two recessed handles. Combine this sub with a set of speakers from the PRX series, and you'll have a force to be reckoned with!

Leuke speaker.

More Bass with QSC K Cardioid Subwoofer and E Series

Thursday 12 January 2017 By Lizanne

With a regular subwoofer, you can often lose low tones. QSC has found the solution to that problem and named it the K Cardioid. They plan to officially launch this active sub at the 2017 NAMM show next week. It has a cardioid directional pattern at its core which effectively prevents low frequencies from escaping via the rear or sides of the cabinet, resulting in more bass and a higher sound pressure level!
