General
The Skytec SPJ-800A is an 8-inch active speaker that delivers a mighty sound for a marvellous price. It's easy to use and features a number of connection possibilities on the back including XLR and RCA line inputs, a microphone jack input and an XLR line output. You'll also find controls on the rear to adjust the volume, bass and treble. Because this is an active speaker, you don't need a separate amplifier to use it.
Applications
The SPJ-800A has an 8-inch woofer and a 1-inch driver. Together they deliver 100 watts of RMS power that makes this speaker perfect for filling smaller-sized rooms with good-quality sound. It's an ideal speaker for amplifying things like speeches. There's a 35mm stand flange, should you wish to mount the SPJ-800A on a speaker stand, and it can even be placed on its side so that you can use it as floor monitor.

Het geluid was niet echt best, vies en schep hoog, en er kwam een ratel uit de kast. Na openen van de speaker was meteen duidelijk, het kapje van de piezo tweeter zat los en schroefjes lagen er uit. Na dit gefikst te hebben ratel weg maar geluid nog steeds vies hoog. Dus tweeter nu vervangen met de
Devine HD03 voor onder de 5 Euro, RC filter vervangen voor een LC fiter en omdat de HD03 zeer gevoelig is een 10 ohm weerstand in serie om het level van de tweeter wat reduceren.
Gevolg: Speaker klinkt nu in balance met de eq in midden stand, klein beetje hoog en wat laag voor wat ballen en kastje klinkt nu echt super strak met fijn in gehoor mid en hoog.
Dit koste me minder dan 5 euro voor de tweeter, een 0.4mH spoel. ook een paar euro.
Uiteindelijk ben ik er nu super content mee, En raad ik het product aan indien je in staat bent om de upgrade te doen. Overgens klinken de meeste van dit soort budget speakers in deze prijs volkomen bagger.
Jammer dat de fabrikant dit niet gedaan heeft, want het is nu eigenlijk een zoveel! beter product met de upgrade.
Uiteindelijk ben ik er nu super content mee, En raad ik het product aan indien je in staat bent om de upgrade te doen. Overgens klinken de meeste van dit soort budget speakers in deze prijs volkomen bagger.
Ik gebruik ze vooral in een theatervoorstelling waarmee we op tournee zijn voor zo'n 100 toeschouwers.
Is compact ik kan hem overal mee naar toe nemen. Hij is het zeker waard voor dat geld
