General

The TTL55-A is a high-power three-way active line array module designed to produce an incredible amount of output for use with indooor and outdoor applications. The system was developed to be able to offer a number of modules for small-scale applications, such as small to medium-sized theatres, and to provide large outdoor theatres and event spaces with full-size line array modules.

Four independent digital amplifiers, two times 1,000 watts for the low frequencies, 1,000 watts for the mid tones and 500 watts for the high frequencies deliver a surprising total power handling capacity of 3,500 watts, making the TTL55-A one of the most powerful line array modules on the market. Three fans help to keep the critical components cool by way of an open cooling system. The electronic components in the amplifier have been made with a solid aluminium construction to help with thermal safety. Furthermore, the amplifier is equipped with a PFC power supply which is responsible for making sure everything functions with just the right amount of voltage, thus eliminating the waste of power, which, of course, saves energy.

The two woofers are mounted in a clam shell band pass configuration that ensures a powerful, tight bass reproduction. You'll find that the acoustic reproduction is incredibly efficient in the 100 Hz range, and the 10-inch mid-range neodymium speaker delivers the best vocal clarity available from a large line array. Furthermore, the three 1.5-inch compression drivers are mounted in a super compact 7-degree waveguide, which complies with the maximum coherence wave and provides incredible output power with extreme clarity.

The integrated digital processer is built into a 32-bit floating point DSP that works at a 96 kHz sampling rate, and is responsible for the crossover, the equalization of the speakers, the limiter and the system presets such as the high pass filter, air absorption and cluster size corrections. It's also equipped with a powerCon connection, XLR input, XLR output link and an Ethernet input and output. With the help of the RDNet protocol, it's possible to see all of the system parameters, such as the input status and information of each individual amplifier. Thanks to the DSP, it's also possible to choose specific presets per cabinet and to make changes to gain, EQ or delay.

The TTL55-A features housing made of high-quality water-resistant Baltic birch plywood, finished with a scratch-resistant polyurea coating. Moreover, the robust grille also has an ultra-strong coating, and sound-transparent foam has been added to the cabinet's interior to protect that speakers and guard the system from dust. Finally, you'll find two die-cast aluminium handles with rubber grips that can be adjusted in three different positions for optimal ease of transport.
