General
The ETX-35P is the largest speaker from the ETX series by Electro Voice. The fact that it is a genuine 3-way speaker makes it quite unique. This means that there are 3 speakers available - a woofer, a mid-range speaker and a tweeter - which are responsible for the bass, mids and trebles respectively. The result is a crystal-clear sound at impressively high volumes. Thanks to the built-in DSP module, you also have the option of fully adjusting the speaker to provide optimal sound for any given environment.
The ETX-35P: Digital Versatility
As previously mentioned, this speaker is equipped with a DSP module for fully adjusting the sound. To be specific, you have the option of choosing between Music, Speech and Live settings. Depending on your choice, the speaker is optimised for reproducing your signal. You also have the option of setting up the DSP according to the speaker's placement, such as stand or monitor. This setting optimises the internal EQ depending on the position you choose. Furthermore, you can also adjust the DSP if you're making use of a subwoofer. In that case, the crossover is activated and the signal is split, sending the bass frequencies to the subwoofer output. The entire sound can be adjusted via 3 pre-programmed presets. You can also set a delay to align the timing of the speaker with other speakers, and it can be adjusted in metres.

It's quite clear from the rugged design of the ETX-35P that it was built with the active lives of touring artists in mind. Speakers of this size are never lightweight, but thanks to the comfortable handles, it is still quite easy to carry. The solid finish ensures the speaker's long lifespan.

Ook het geluid wat hier uitkomt is alles behalve om over te klagen, Het is luid en niet te vergeten super luid. De bass is super, ook zijn de hoge en mid range tonen erg mooi. Je voelt dankzij de 2000 watt het geluid overal goed en tot je doordringend! Het is wel een erg zware speaker, maar bedenk wel dat het een 2000 watt speaker is. Ook is de speaker erg duur maar ze zijn het waard! Het is echt een fantastische speaker geen reden om te twijfelen dus. Al met al vier sterren.

is dat je het geluid via de achterzijde moet inregelen. Het zou fijner zijn als dit via bluetooth en een app kan regelen. Je kan duidelijk horen dat de luidspreker is opgebouwd uit drie ingebouwde speakers. Hoe hard ik de speaker ook zet, het geluid blijft qua kwaliteit zeer goed. Ook als ik mijn microfoon gebruik is het geluid zeer helder. Ook hier is een DSP module ingebouwd wat gewoon ideaal is. Ik raad wel aan om een degelijk subwoofer erop aan te sluiten. Ik maak zelf gebruik van de Electro-Voice ETX-18SP actieve subwoofer. De speaker heeft een fijne grip maar is wel zwaar. Je kan hem moeilijk alleen op een statief tillen.

Ook de sub klinkt geweldig en het laag blijft goed overeind onder verschillende omstandigheden.
Het inregelen is vaak een fluitje van een cent hoewel het soms wat ongemakkelijk werkt dat de handmatige bediening zich aan de achterzijde bevind. Bluetooth icm met bijv. een app zou wat dat betreft wonderen kunnen verrichten. Verder alle lof voor deze set!
