General
The EKX-12P active 2-way speaker combines the brand's renowned audio quality and reliability with the very latest technology into a compact, portable speaker that's suitable for various purposes. It's is versatile and boasts a remarkable performance. It has special EV-developed speaker and amplifier components for superior audio quality and features the brand's well-known single-knob control and QuickSmart DSP. On the rear panel, you'll find a handy LCD screen for intuitive menu navigation. When setting up, you can choose between four presets: music, live, speech and club.
Design
The EV EKX-152 is equipped with the brand's patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (aka SSTs), which generate precise, consistent coverage. The speaker is ideal for use in a mobile or permanent setup. It's relatively lightweight, compact and has a 15mm-thick plywood cabinet with an Evcoat finish, eight M10 rigging points, a stand flange and metal handles.
Positioning
The EKX range is the latest addition to Electro-Voice's portable speaker assortment. The speakers combine legendary EV audio quality with reliability and state-of-the-art technology. All this is wrapped up in a compact housing that's suitable for a wide range of applications including DJing, amplifying live bands or as a permanent sound installation.

Ik gebruik ze nu heel vaak als monitors omdat ik ondertussen ook 15inch toppen heb gekocht (ELX 115P) en hiervoor zijn ze ook zeer goed te gebruiken.

Deze set gaat hard en diep en blijft spat zuiver. Mooi sprankelend hoog met diepe bassen. De geluidskwaliteit is zeer zeker van hoog niveau!
Is vast en zeker iedere Euro waard!
De enige kleine minpuntjes die ik ervaar zijn dat de tops maar 1 handvat hebben en daardoor een beetje onhandig zijn om vast te houden. En als je set gebruikt bij gelegenheden waar het ook wel eens stil moet zijn, dan hoor je de ventilators open. Maar voor de rest, prima product, prima prijs!
De behuizing is zeer sterk en bij een val kan er een deukje te zien zijn, maar verder blijft hij geheel intact. Daarnaast kan de de speaker makkelijk instellen door middel van het LED schermpje achterop. Zo is in te stellen hoe de speaker gebruikt wordt en kan ook aangegeven worden of er gebruik wordt gemaakt van een subwoofer. Deze is ook te combineren met subwoofers van andere merken.
Het geluid is fantastisch en veel harder dan de ZLX.
Enige minpuntjes zijn het ontbreken van een tweede handvat en het ontbreken van een tilt statief adapter.
Ben nu aan het sparen voor twee EKX-15SP subwoofers zodat we ook iets grotere gigs aan kunnen.
Gister was precies deze speaker 495 euro...
Meer dan 442 euro goedkoper!!!
Mijn reactie wordt waarsschijnlijk weer verwijderd door Bax...
