General
The Opera 712 DX is one of the entry-level models from the Opera DX line by dB Technologies. This line has been a success story for over a decade now, and with the DX 700 series, dB Technologies has added yet another chapter of well-priced, quality speakers. When it comes to the 712 DX specifically, the 12-inch woofer and 1-inch driver ensure that it functions excellently as a monitor or for live acts. Add a subwoofer such as the Sub 18D by dB Technologies for an outstanding sound combination. Either way, you're going to get a great sound out of the Opera 712 DX.
Speaker technology
The 712 DX has been given an extra boost with the 700W Digipro digital amplifier. The dispersion of the 712 DX amounts to 60/80 x 65 degrees, and comes out of an asymmetrical CD horn. In this way, the treble is broadly projected at short distance, but can still travel quite far. Furthermore, the frequency response ranges from 59 to 20,000 Hz at -10 dB, and the maximum sound pressure that comes out of the 712 DX is 128 dB (SPL). Finally, the 712 DX has both an XLR and a 6.3mm jack signal input and output.
External features of the Opera 712 DX
You can rest assured that this speaker is well protected, thanks to its black polypropylene housing, which is not susceptible to scratches or other such cosmetic damage. Along with the protective features of this material, it is also lightweight, providing you with a speaker that weighs just 34 lbs (15.4 kg). The light weight combined with the built-in 35mm stand adapters makes the Opera 712 DX easy to mount on a stand.

hij heeft power genoeg en er zit wel veel bas in voor een top kast
je kan aardig stampen met deze speakers en ze vervormen niet snel
de tassen ( los te verkopen ) zijn Geweldig als je ze vaak moet vervoeren

Het geluid van deze speaker is goed tot zeer goed, zeker voor zo'n prijsje.
Uitbreidingsmogelijkheid is super! met een sub ben je klaar voor een gehele tijd.
Zonder sub klinkt hij vrij aardig, alleen is de bass inderdaad niet 100%. Natuurlijk kun je dit verwachten zonder sub.
Een must-have is de tas die erbij zit. Hiermee zit hij goed beschermd en de tas ziet er heel netjes uit.
Het enige minpuntje is dat ik hem niet 100% stabiel vind staan op een standaard. Dit komt natuurlijk door de standaard zelf, maar hou hier mee rekening. Het is niet zo dat hij snel omvalt, dus maak je daarover geen zorgen!
Deze speaker is een goede aankoop voor beginnende muziekliefhebbers. Compact, leuk geluid en mooi afgewerkt. 5 sterren voor deze jongen!
