The Yamaha V5SA 1/8-size violin has been specifically designed for young beginners and comes complete with a wooden bow, Yamaha Original rosin and a lightweight case that's been finished with comfy carry strap. Made of good-quality wood, this Stradivarius-style violin has a spruce soundboard and a maple body, both of which have been finished by hand and sport a stylishly glossy coat of oil-based varnish.

The V5SA: A Comfortable Starting Point

To guarantee a smooth playing feel, Yamaha have opted for a dark ebony fretboard while the tuning pegs and a chin rest are made from the same material. Also made of ebony, the tailpiece comes with four fine-tuners for quick-and-easy tune-ups and, as a sweet bonus, the V5SA violin features pre-installed D’Addario Prelude strings.
