General

Combining a timeless construction with elegant design, the all-solid Guild D-40E electro-acoustic should be the holy grail of any gigging acoustic guitarist. This classic dreadnought bears the powerful sound, big volume, and strong projection of a classic wood recipe: a solid Sitka spruce soundboard and a solid mahogany back and matching sides. The mid-range clarity and increased sustain of this model basically pulls the very best you could ever get out of a dreadnought.

Unplugged & Amplified

The acoustic sound is flawlessly translated by an integrated LR Baggs preamp system, and your on-stage sound is dialled in by a set of simple yet accurate tone and volume controls. Stable tuning and excellent intonation is assured by a set of Guild Deluxe Vintage Open Gear machine heads and a hand-cut bone nut and saddle. And, whether at home or on tour, the D-40E can be kept in perfect health wrapped up in the included Guild Deluxe hardshell case, which features a built-in humidifier.
