Martin Strings MFX130 Custom Silk & Phosphor Acoustic

Low tension silk strings for my D15. These strings seem to suit my mahogany guitar well with their 'folky' tone complementing the generally compressed and punchy sound of the guitar. All these term are relative and these descriptions only marginal. Yes these strings are lower tension and , in theory easier on weak or beginners fingertips, but the low tension does mean greater pressure has to be exerted to get the strings to bite the fret without buzzing etc. so the gain in feel is only slight. However the overall feel is distinctly easy, and they certainly sound great on an all mahogany instrument - not that this would detract from using them on a sapele etc. front instrument.

Dit zijn hele fijne zachte snaren. Ideaal voor een zachte, ronde tokkel. De snaren zijn niet scherp op de vingers. Het aanspannen moet wel voorzichtig gebeuren. Het is me nu twee keer gebeurd dat de snaar tijdens het opspannen knapte.
