Blackstar present a 60 Watt ode to acoustic sound with the Sonnet 60 amplifier. This combo is made specifically to reproduce the natural sound and dynamics of an acoustic guitar or the full expression of a singer-songwriter on smaller stages. Two inputs are offered: one for a guitar and one for vocals, with Shape and Equaliser controls provided to sculpt the sound of the guitar. For even more atmosphere, a built-in hall or plate reverb can be applied to both channels and the light weight of this combo amp makes it an easy-going gig buddy.

The Sonnet 60: In the Studio or on Stage

If you use on stage backing tracks, then this amp gives you two playback options. The first is a standard MP3/Line mini-jack input that can be used to connect an external media player, and the second is the simple connection of a Bluetooth capable device that can be paired with the Sonnet for wireless streaming. So this amp can also be used on larger stages, it comes fitted with an XLR DI Mix output that can be hooked up to the PA or stage-block and, if you play a jumbo or dreadnought electro-acoustic and want to filter out some of the lower frequencies; simply toggle the high-pass filter, and to add a little shimmer to the high-end, dial it in with the Brilliance pot. For recording the sound of the Sonnet 60 directly and with minimum latency, a USB port has even been included so it can communicate seamlessly with your recording software.
