Just like any of Manuel Rodriguez product, this 5-string electro-acoustic bass guitar is the result of a rich history in guitar-making. Construction

This bass has a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, offering a pleasant, warm tone and impressive volume. The neck is made of mahogany and features a 22-fret rosewood fretboard that adds warm overtones to the overall sound. The bridge and string nut are made of bone and the rest of the hardware is very high-quality.

Pickup and finish

In order to properly amplify the impressive sound of a bass like this, the proper electronics are essential. That's why Manuel Rodriguez integrated a Fishman preamp and pickup. This bass has an open-pore finish, which is a sort of varnish that maintains the integrity of the wood while at the same time, allowing the instrument's true character to really stand out.
