General

The black Roland FR-8XB button-type V-Accordion is a top-quality accordion combining the feel of a traditional, acoustic accordion with the expansive options of digital technology. This button-type V-Accordion is designed in consultation with some of the best professional accordionists. The result is the innovative Dynamic Bellows Behaviour technology, which simulates an authentic bellows response, offering a realistic, dynamic playing experience with vastly improved expressiveness and versatility. Additionally, the Roland FR-8XB offers a wide range of high-quality sounds and effects, including a looper function. Roland's V-Accordion technology makes it all possible!

Roland FR-8XB: A Milestone for Digital Accordions

To provide a realistic playing experience, the Dynamic Bellows Behaviour technology of this Roland ensures that the pressure in the bellows is automatically adjusted to match the number of notes simultaneously played. The controls of the FR-8XB have been improved in comparison to those of previous models and a large colour display and intuitive control panel with a logical layout have been added. Three new, assignable chin switches allow you to control any function you like without taking your hands off the buttons. The FR-8XB is fitted with a redesigned button-type keyboard with a piston-style mechanism that provides an authentic feel. This digital accordion can be used autonomously thanks to a 2x 25W built-in amplifier, neodymium speakers and a battery that can be recharged via the included adapter without removing it from its housing.

A Wide Range of Sounds and Options

The Roland FR-8XB is equipped with a large collection of authentic-sounding accordion sounds, as well as 180 orchestral and percussion tones, including strings, brass, electric and acoustic guitars and bass guitars, choirs, organs, synths and drums. It also features a Virtual Tone Wheel organ selection and four memory banks for new sounds from the Roland library. Various modes and layers are available for the 92-button and 120-button keyboards of the FR-8XB. Four powerful multi-effects with 84 algorithms each allow for additional creativity. You can use the built-in looper to create your own backing tracks, or play along with your favourite MP3 or WAV files by plugging in a USB stick. Audio can also be recorded directly to your USB stick or computer.
