General

The tight 500-Series JDV preamp module from Radial simply retains the authentic, characteristic sound of the connected instrument to ensure flawless signal transfer. All of this happens via an innovative design and a built-in Class-A amplifier which treats a violin, mandolin, or double bass (you name it) with just as much integrity as it does a guitar, strengthening the sound rather than warping it, and where necessary, the Drag Control switch can be hit to correct and 're-naturalise' the sound. And, to accommodate acoustic instruments, a high-pass filter has been provided for shaving off any hindering lower frequencies.
