Meetings - if you're working for a big corporation, there's no escaping them, and of course it's vital to record everything that's discussed. In essence, it's a high-quality voice recorder, but it comes with an omnidirectional boundary microphone that makes recording meetings and conferences a piece of cake. Place the boundary microphone in the middle of the table, and it captures everything that is said loud and clear. When the meeting is done, you can transcribe your minutes at leisure, creating a clear, well-structured report.
The Philips DVT8000: possibilities
The DVT8000 is equipped with a motion sensor that automatically sets the sensitivity of the microphone. This Voice Tracer is able to record in MP3 format, so you won't have to deal with huge files, and the included remote control enables you to start and stop recordings. Of course the DVT8000 itself has start/stop buttons too, but the remote comes in handy when the recorder is placed on a large conference table. Thanks to a sizeable battery, which can be recharged via USB, it's possible to record for a good long while.

The Philips DVT8000 Voice Tracer has an impressive internal memory of no less than 4 GB, which equals up to 44 entire days of continuous recordings - plenty for a calendar full of meetings. If that's not enough, you can use a microSD card of up to 32 GB for additional memory. A clear colour display keeps you fully informed of everything the conference recorder is doing. Finally, the DVT8000 has a sturdy, durable housing - a meeting isn't a trip through the jungle exactly, but it's nice to know that the Philips Voice Tracer is able to survive a pack of wild conference cats.
