General
Dipped in Fender DNA, the California Coast Series Avalon tenor ukulele features a comfortable build, an iconic Strat-style headstock and a super-fresh paint-job. The basswood body comes coated in a smooth satin-gloss that's set off by the cream binding that outlines the neck as well as the body, while the neck has been made from nato, fitted with a walnut fretboard loaded with nineteen frets, and finished with a 35-millimetre-wide nut to set up this uke with snug playability. And as a more-than sweet bonus, all of it comes at a surprisingly affordable price.
The Fender California Coast Avalon: It's All in the Detail
The no-tie walnut bridge has a pull-through design that cuts string-change times down to a minimum and, combined with the set of chrome-plated open-gear machine heads, ensures excellent tuning stability. Beneath the soundboard, fan bracing has been installed to guarantee excellent resonant dispersion and a richly layered acoustic sound that's packed with dynamic articulation whether finger-picking or strumming.

Friday 28 August 2015Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
