Guitar Pro is a popular software notation program for guitarists and bassists. With Guitar Pro 7 you can easily create, edit, play and share musical scores and guitar tabs. In multi-track mode you can make and playback multiple tracks at once and it's even possible to create backing tracks with drums and piano. You can easily add lyrics to vocal melodies too and you can look up scales and chords. By connecting your guitar to an external sound card, you can use the polyphonic tuner and apply effects.
Guitar Pro 7: easier to use, more realistic and more practical
Guitar Pro 7 has been redesigned with a new interface that makes it even easier to use. It starts up faster than before and files load more quickly too. The score display engine has also been renewed and now looks more professional than ever. The software is now compatible with high resolution displays like HD and Retina which adds an extra touch of realism. A number of practical improvements in the areas of audio applications and stereo sound have made them simpler to use too. The instrument banks have been expanded and piano, vocal and drum parts can now also be made. Finally, Guitar Pro 7 is compatible with MP3, FLAC and OGG files.

Niet al te moeilijk in het gebruik; er is, naast de handleiding, via internet aardig wat ondersteuning te vinden.
Ik kan Guitar Pro 7 niet vergelijken met eerdere versies, want daar heb ik niet mee gewerkt, maar ik vind het een geweldige tool voor de gitarist. Bovendien maken de extra features het werken ermee extra leuk!
Gebruik zelf veel al gemaakte bestanden gedownload via google (zoekterm artiest - liedje guitar pro). Door het af te spelen kun je meteen de waarde van de tab beoordelen en waar nodig zelf wat aanpassingen verrichten. Zelf arrangeren van muziek is ook heel goed mogelijk.
Daarnaast gebruik ik bij coveren de afspeel mogelijkheden van Guitar Pro over of studio speakers of midi-apparatuur. Door de gitaarsporen te "muten" heb ik een mooie karaoke versie voor de gitaar.
Echt super software. Enige probleem is dat het vaak wachten is totdat iemand al tijd gestoken heeft om een liedje volledig uit te schrijven met drum, bass en eventuele andere instrumenten en zanglijn.
