General

The Genelec 8030 BPM is the perfect partner for professional mix sessions in average-sized home and project studios. Don't be mistaken though, you're going to get plenty of sound, considering the speaker is so compact! The 5-inch woofer and 3/4-inch tweeter a separately amplified with 2x 40 watts, which is good for a sound pressure of up to 100 dB. You'll also enjoy a broad frequency response - starting at 55 Hz, it produces 8,030 BPMs.

Genelec 8030 BPM: standby

A new feature with this active monitor is the handy, energy-saving standby function, which switches the monitor off when it hasn't been used for an hour, until a signal comes in again. Of course on the bottom of the monitor you'll find the Genelec Iso-Pod, which makes optimal, resonance-free placement of the speaker a breeze. The 8030 features a fresh, natural sound and is the perfect choice for serious mixing.

Ik ben nog steeds sprakeloos. Het geluid wat er uit deze twee kleine monitoren komt is waanzinnig. Ja het is een dure investering, maar ze gaan dan ook lang mee. En ik hoef in de toekomst geen upgrade te kopen. Voor de ruimte zijn ze perfect. Ik had zelfs teveel lage tonen dus dit heb ik aangepast. Kraakhelder geluid. Ik ontdek heel veel nieuwe elementen in tracks die ik al vaak heb beluisterd. Een aanrader voor de gene die serieus wil produceren. Ze gaan erg hard voordat het geluid vervormd. Ik raad deze monitoren aan voor de mensen die het budget hebben. In de winkel vond ik deze ook het mooiste klinken. Misschien in de toekomst nog een sub aanschaffen. Het enige nadeel is dat je niet goed de verschillende lagen in de lage frequenties kunt onderscheiden. Misschien schaf ik daarom de sub aan in de toekomst.

Deze monitor speaker is een echte aanrader voor je thuis-studiootje. Vooral als de akoestiek te wensen overlaat en je mixen te weinig laag of te veel hoog hebben is het eigelijk een must.

Het systeem dat de speakers uitschakelt bij geen gebruik werkt stukken beter dan bij de KRK speakers. Het inschakelen is echt zogoed als direct.

Ook heb ik geen ruis, storing of gezoem van de versterker opgemerkt!

Blind aangeschaft op aanraden van mijn collega. Ondanks het kleine formaat klinken ze top.
Het geluid blijft onder alle omstandigheden strak (denk b.v. aan de dynamiek bij klassieke stukken).
Andere speakers van dit formaat hebben daar vaak moeite mee.
Ze klinken van mid tot hoog zeer transparant, zonder dat je last krijgt van luistermoeheid.

Dit is een speaker om serieus op te kunnen mixen, maar tevens ook voor recording.
Ieder piepje, kraakje of ademhaling is te horen.

Enige minpuntje: Onder de 50Hz heb je geen controle over je geluid en is een sub nodig.
In ieder geval een aanrader voor iedereen die wil kunnen horen waar ie mee bezig is.
