Product no: 9000-0014-7938 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

Back in the sixties, the H78 was made by Silvertone and Harmony. This black Eastwood Airline is a tribute to that vintage electric guitar. Apart from a few practical upgrades, the Airline H78 Black is remarkably close to the original. The all sides of the body as well as the neck are made of maple and are beautifully complemented by the creamy rosewood fretboard. The combination of wood types gives this Eastwood hollow body a balanced sound with a bit of bite in the mid frequencies.

Eastwood Airline H78 Black: perfect for surf, soul, country and rock 'n roll

To make sure there's minimal feedback the semi-acoustic Airline H78 features a centre block - which also supports a Bigsby B-70 tailpiece. Thanks to the adjustable roller you can use this cast aluminium Bigsby tremolo to add a subtle surf vibrato to your melodies, for instance. Naturally, the Eastwood Airline H78 can also be used for numerous other genres such as soul, country and rock 'n roll.

Full and natural single-coil pickups

The three single coils of this Eastwood guitar are called Airline Gold Foil Argyle These pickups produce the familiar '60s clarity and have a very natural response to pick strumming. Tone wise, these Argyles are between humbuckers and single-coils. Eastwood's Airline H78 produces a full amplified sound that is virtually free from the typical single-coil hum and noise. Additionally, each Airline Gold Foil single coil can be tuned separately with its own on/off switch and tone and volume potentiometers.

Luckily, both camps are being catered to with Gretsch's new series: the Vintage Select Editions and the Players Editions.
