Product no: 9000-0013-6069 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

In 2013, Korg released three Volca units: a bass synth, a drum synth and a general synth, all typical instruments for (live) EDM. With the Volca Sample, Korg has added a sample sequencer to the Volca family. You can instantly tell from its name that the Volca Sample was designed to play back samples. There are 100 pre-programmed samples for you to get started with - all of which can be overwritten - but you can also import new samples by means of an iOS app that enables you to use recordings from your iPad or iPhone.

Synthesis and Sequencing with the Korg Volca

Calling the Volca Sample a mere sample player would sell it short - you can get tremendously creative with this product! It basically serves as a modest synthesizer, as the eleven knobs in the middle of the control panel allow you to change the essential characteristics of your sounds. There's also a step sequencer, where you can adjust and register the eleven synthesis parameters. Combining the parameters and the sequencer will get you astonishing results for sure.

Additional Features

The Volca Sample's multi-touch keyboard lets you play melodies with a maximum polyphony of eight voices, and a reverb (per part) adds a spacious quality. There's an analogue isolator, which is basically an equalizer that controls the bass and trebles, leaving the mids as they are. Of course you'll want to use the Volca Sample in combination with your other Volca models. To that end, Korg has fitted the device with sync connectors. The sample sequencer can be powered by batteries (6 AA batteries are included), which means you can unleash your musical creativity wherever you go.

A lot of fun can be had with this. Very easy to get a handle on and the sample shaping tools can compleatly transform each sound, its quite sensitive so tiny changes can make a lot of difference. Third party apps to introduce your own samples works a treat too.

- samples inladen gaat stroef

Razendsnel binnen.
