The Sandberg California Marlowe DK is Thomas Risell's signature model. With over 25 million views on YouTube, Risell (a.k.a. MarloweDK) is one of the most famous online bass guitar teachers. This J-style bass guitar was designed according to his personal specifications (including an exclusive shade of red, special neck dimensions and unique pickup positioning), yet it is a bass that will feel instantly and surprisingly familiar to any bass player. The California Marlowe DK comes with a rugged Sandberg gig bag.

Sandberg California Marlowe DK: Hardcore Aged

The first thing you'll probably notice about this unique bass guitar is that it looks like it's been on stage for decades. Nothing could be further from the truth, however, as this guitar is brand new! The master builders at Sandberg applied their hardcore aged finish to this bass, artificially ageing its lacquer and hardware. Additionally, the alder body of the Marlowe DK has been subjected to a special vibration treatment to make it sound like an old vintage bass guitar.

Electronics and Finish

The comfortable, 34-inch maple neck supports a 22-fret rosewood fretboard with pearloid block inlays for a classic, luxurious look. Naturally, the ear should not go wanting, which is why this four-string electric bass guitar is mounted with a set of Sandberg's Alnico 5 single-coil pickups. These pickups a set in a slightly different spot than they would on a traditional J-style bass, for a unique sound that can be tweaked using the volume, blend and tone controls.

Dit is een fantastische bas.
Speelt als een droom en je haalt er alles uit, van vette knor tot diep laag.
Heeft de regelaars Volume, Balans voor/achter en Toon. En dat werkt net wat lekkerder dan de gebruikelijke 2x volume en 1x toon.
Bouwkwaliteit is ook dik in orde.

Als je graag regelmatig een andere bas koopt dan moet je niet aan deze beginnen; deze doe je nooit meer weg..
