The (Vintage Burst) Peavey Milestone is an instrument with a warm Sunburst-brown finish and is fitted with the clever Powerplate on the back of the headstock. The bevelled body edges provide essential comfort.

Milestone: Powerplate and two pickups

The Powerplate on the Milestone is in between the headstock and machine heads and improves the ability of this bass guitar to project string vibrations, resulting in longer sustain. The tones of this guitar reach your amplifier via the two pickups: a single-coil and a split single-coil pickup that together ensure both tight, clear, warm and punchy sounds.

Wrote the following about Peavey Milestone Vintage Burst (2013) electric bass guitar

Ik zocht een bas die niet te zwaar was, soepel bespeelbaar was (Ik was een beetje verwend door de Warwick JD Thumb die ik ooit had), en ook nog aardig klonk, en deze Peavey heeft het allemaal! Een gewicht van slechts 3,7kg, een prettig bespeelbare hals (formaat jazz bas), en een precision/jazz pickup combinatie, wat goed is voor voldoende variatie in geluid. De bas is verder netjes afgewerkt, en degelijk gebouwd.

Daarbij kostte de bas, toen ik hem bij Bax zag staan, slechts 157, maar toen ik na een paar dagen twijfelen de bas wilde bestellen bleek hij ineens 130 duurder te zijn geworden. Gelukkig stond er nog een advertentie van Bax met de oude prijs op marktplaats, waardoor ik de bas toch voor 157 kon bestellen. Uiteraard direct gedaan, en geen moment spijt van gehad.

Als je een bas zoekt die aan bovenstaande criteria moet voldoen, is deze
Peavey Milestone zelfs voor het nu gevraagde bedrag zeker te overwegen!
